The prevalence of pain increases with advancing age. The presentation will describe how the practice known as Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment was incorporated into Multidisciplinary Pain Management. It will discuss whether age-related physiological changes, multi-morbidity and frailty create insurmountable barriers to effective pain management in older people.
