Peter Head - HEADONISM
About
Peter's doing a short trip back to the home town of Adelaide , to work with his old friends, Chris Finnen (gtr.), Ron Kosmider-bass, and Mark Meyer (drums) to celebrate his 80th birthday and the release of the book 'Headonism" about his first 40 years in rock, written by Mark Cornwall. What a career including Headband, featuring Chris Bailey on bass and vocals, Mauri Berg on guitar, and Joff Bateman on drums & vocals. Peter played piano AND Hammond organ, and began song-writing seriously. The band eventually released 3 singles, a very progressive album of originals, and did support for John Mayall, Elton John, then the Rolling Stones.
After Headband broke up in early 1974, Peter started a new band with combined members of Fraternity and Headband, amongst others ,and called it “The Mount Lofty Rangers” - Regular singers included Bon Scott, Robyn Archer , and Glenn Shorrock. There's a whole lot more later ... TBC
