The Vagina Monologues (SOLD OUT)
About
The Warrandyte Theatre Company proudly presents - The Vagina Monologues. Directed by Caroline Shaw and written by Eve Ensler, this play was first produced in 1996 at the HERE Arts Centre, New York. Initially created to ‘celebrate vaginas’, by 1998 the play had become a cornerstone of V-Day, the global movement to end violence against women and girls. The monologues are short and punchy, moving from comic rants about everyday indignities to tender first-time recollections and journeys of self-discovery. They reclaim language and pleasure, linger on candid coming-of-age moments, and culminate in powerful testimonies of survival and resilience.Location
