
Accelerate! Winds 2026
About
Accelerate! Winds offers talented woodwind players in Years 10–12 the chance to refine their skills through practical workshops, masterclasses, and bootcamps across 2026.Led by Ashley Smith, the program includes the opportunity to attend activities alongside UWA students and learn from a host of industry professionals.
Topics covered include:
- Choosing and preparing repertoire for your ATAR performance program
- Refining your practise
- Tips for optimising the air and the posture
- Developing a positive mindset for elite performance
- Overcoming performance anxiety
- Working with an accompanist
Cost: Full scholarship program (there is no cost to participants)
Application details: Entry is via audition. Complete this application form and then record yourself playing your best piece (on a phone is fine) and send it to us at concerts@uwa.edu.au along with a breif statement about why you’d like to be part of Accelerate.
