Term 4 NPEN meeting our presenters will be:Sihem Sayoud who will be presenting us with information about Spectrum Resource Centre. Spectrum Resource Centre is one of the largest multicultural service organisations operating in metropolitan Melbourne. With over 278 staff delivering 25 programs, Spectrum supports more than 4,400 migrants and refugees each year to feel at home in Australia. Spectrum offers a wide range of programs, including Aged care, Carer Support, Employment Assistance, Family Services, Migration Support, Youth and Settlement Programs. Spectrum’s mission goes beyond providing services, focusing on helping migrants and refugees build a true sense of belonging in their new communities. Work across the organisation is driven by purpose, compassion, and a strong commitment to inclusion. The organisation fosters a diverse and supportive workplace, with staff representing over 50 nationalities and cultures and speaking more than 30 languages.”
Danielle Green, Mentor – Parent Pathways from Sarina Rosso Job Access who will be presenting about Parent Pathways Program which is a program that:
• Offers personalised support to help parents and carers balance family life while working towards their personal growth and career development.
• Is a unique and flexible service designed to assist parents and carers of children up to the age of 6 years. With the support of a qualified mentor, participants will have the opportunity to work on their personal, study, and career goals—all while ensuring their children are preparing for the next step in their educational journey.
• The program includes:
Personalised goal setting to help parents balance family life and their aspirations
• Financial support through an Individual Fund (up to $1,250/year) to cover things like accredited education, driver’s licenses, fuel vouchers, and more
• Engagement Support Vouchers for face-to-face appointments, including up to $250 in vouchers per year for groceries, petrol, or training
