Papercrafters Garage Sale
About
This is the spot to book a stall space at the market. We have a variety of inside stalls avaliable -
a) Six foot trestle table on a 2x2m site
b) 2 four foot tresstle tables (these are narrower than 6ft tables - but you get about the same table top surface overall) in an L shape on a 2x2m site
c) BYO Table - empty 2x2m site - only avaliable to BYO 1 6ft or 2 4ft tresstles on these sites.
All sale items must be contained to your stall space, and walkways kept clear. Stall holders to sit behind their tables. Walls can not be used to display anything. You must allow for an entrance space to get in behind your table within your 2x2m site. It would be great if you had a table cloth, however not compulsory - it just makes things look nicer. Pricing is at your own discretion. Any electrical items for sale must have a current electrical test tag on it - to prove that it is safe. Without this tag items can't be plugged into any of the hall power points to test items for customers. Any personal items that you'd like power for must be tested and tagged also. Power points are limited so no guarentee of having power at your stall.
No additional tables (of any size) beyond the limits 1 6ft or 1 4ft tables (for those BYOing) are to be bought along unless it fits behind your front table with out compromising your entrance/exit way for you as the stall holder to sit behind your table. If you want more table space to have additional table book an extra site.
Set up from 8am. Pack up at 3pm. No packing up prior unless directed by the organiser. More details will be given in the confirmation email.
The actual Event will run for bargain hunters (visitors) from 10am - 3pm.
There will be a small canteen offering tea/coffe/soft drinks and snacks. Whilst shops are near by (a 5-10minute walk) we recomend you BYO lunch that doesn't require re-heating. For safety reasons no-one may enter the kitchen, as such there will be no microwave or fridge use avalaible. Stall holders are welcome to a free cup of tea or coffee if they BYO mug/cup - we will provide you with a voucher for that.
On the day we will be running a raffle. We'd love it if you could donate something crafty to be used in the prizes. Please ensure it's a new, non used item. And that it's something someone wouldn't have to buy something else to be able to use it. i.e. don't donate a photo/scrapbook album that has no pages.
We can not guarentee how well you will do on the day. But all efforts will be made to advertise this event far and wide - predominently through social media. We ask that you share the information as well within your own circles. Our intention is to also partner with a realestate agent to get some billboards put up as well on nearby major intersections.
No insurance is required as you will all be covered under the Scouting Insurance that Scouts Victoria provide.
If you don't have card payment facilities the Scout Group Zeller Card Facility is avaliabe - funds will be transfered to you post event, as there will be limited cash on site - and any fees incurred with come out of your sale at 1.5%.. Alternatively explore with your bank PayID facilities.
This is a charity event with the proceeds from the Stall Fees and gold coin donation entry going to benefit our youth attending major Scouting events such as the 2027 World Jamboree in Poland. As such should you need to cancel your stall there will be no refunds unless we can refill your site.
