About

Mac Anthony was born and raised in Perth and began learning the piano at the age of six. He is currently in his 3rd year as a classical piano performance major at the WA Academy of Performing Arts, studying under Adam Pinto. In 2023, he obtained the Associate in Music (AMusA) diploma and earlier this year, the Licentiate in Music (LMusA) diploma. While at WAAPA, he has been awarded two scholarships; The Vice Chancellors Award for Outstanding Development in Composition and, more recently, the Greg Benjamin Music Excellence Scholarship. He has taken part in masterclasses with renowned pianists such as Victor Sangiorgio and Piotr Anderszewski and has performed with the WAAPA Symphony Orchestra and the HearNow ensemble.
