About
Have you got a favourite pair of jeans that need some TLC, or you'd simply like to embellish a denim garment to make it one of a kind?Come and join us for some relaxing and therapeutic hand stitching while having a chat and a cuppa amongst lovely fabrics and threads.
In this workshop you'll learn how to breathe new life into your garments with simple hand-stitching techniques, including taking inspiration from the Japanese Sashiko stitching. We'll patch holes, cover marks or simply add a decorative flair.
This workshop uses a needle and thread only - no sewing machines needed! - and is perfect for those with beginner level sewing / stitching experience (you know how to thread a needle and do Running Stitch but are new to visible mending techniques).
Tea and bikkies supplied - essential for happy stitching. BYO denim item to mend and embellish (or simply let us know and we can supply something from the Op Shop to practice on).
