Step out of the classroom into the world of the Old Testament and the Gospels: Sail on the Sea of Galilee, float in the Dead Sea, ride a camel through the Judean wilderness, walk the ancient streets of Jerusalem … This is a study experience, holiday, and pilgrimage wrapped up in one package. This really will be the trip of a lifetime!

This field study is offered primarily as part of BIB349/592 Old Testament Field Study and BIB000 Field Study. Pastors, family, and friends interested in seeing the wonders of the ancient biblical world are warmly welcome to join.

Note: This tour is physically demanding. Participants should be in good physical condition. Each day involves plenty of walking and time outside on rugged terrain. We recommend doing some light preparation, such as bushwalking or climbing stairs, so that you can comfortably reach at least 10,000 steps each day.

MEET YOUR LECTURER

Emma Austin teaches Old Testament and Biblical Hebrew at Alphacrucis University College. She lived in Jerusalem for 2 years and is passionate about sharing the cultural, historical, and geographic context of the Bible with others. Emma’s goal is not just to “make the Bible come alive” for students, but to help students come alive to the Bible!
