As Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies continue to evolve in Australia, this presentation explores how these innovative treatments are reshaping mental health care, covering how they work, the latest clinical developments, local initiatives across the Gold Coast, pathways for safe and effective delivery, and emerging training opportunities for counsellors interested in the future of this evidence-based approach to treatment.
Presenters
Shai Hipperson is the Principal and Clinical Psychedelic Psychologist at Conscious Mind Centre in Coomera, holding a Master of Clinical Psychology, Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours), and Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies, with a special interest in trauma, PTSD, addiction, psychedelic therapy, harm minimisation, and integration.
Paul Hipperson is the Practice Manager at Conscious Mind Centre, who transitioned from a successful career in industrial and technical management into the mental health sector, bringing a strong commitment to supporting individuals and improving outcomes both within the practice and behind the scenes.
Discovery Talk
Susan Flanders from Cove Counselling is a Board Certified Neurofeedback Therapist and Registered Counsellor who combines evidence-based approaches, including neurofeedback, ACT, CBT, mindfulness, and attachment-based therapy, to support individuals with anxiety, ADHD, autism, relationship challenges, and other life difficulties in creating meaningful and lasting change.
