About

Participants will have an enjoyable and inspiring two-day workshop designed to help them learn to paint in oils in the Impressionist style. It’s structured to build confidence, introduce key materials and techniques, and culminate in a finished painting on Day 2. I will show you how to paint in 3 easy steps, using a limited palette and only 3 brushes. My classes are relaxed and fun and I take the mystery and complexity out of oil painting to show you that anyone can learn to paint, given the right guidance, method and support.
Goal: Introduce beginners to the joy of oil painting through the principles and techniques of Impressionism: colour, light, movement, and expressive brushwork.
Outcome: Each participant completes one finished Impressionist-style painting by the end of Day 2.
SKILL LEVEL: Beginners to mid- level .

NOTE: I use and recommend water soluble oils; no solvents are allowed in my classes.
COST: $240 for the 2 days
MATERIALS: $50 payable on the first day. You are welcome to bring your own painting materials. Please contact me upon registration and I will send you a list of materials.
