Join us for the Inaugural GVC Vascular Trauma Course — a two-day advanced surgical training event held on Friday 23 – Saturday 24 January 2026 at The Northern Hospital, Epping (VIC).Hosted by the Global Vascular Companionship (GVC) in collaboration with the World Federation of Vascular Societies (WFVS), the Australian and New Zealand Society for Vascular Surgery (ANZSVS), and the Japanese Society for Vascular Surgery (JSVS), this landmark course unites an exceptional international faculty led by:
• Professor Erica Mitchell – Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, University of Tennessee Health & Sciences Center (USA)
• Professor Hideaki Obara – Keio University School of Medicine (Japan)
• Dr Young-Kwang Park – President, EBM Corporation (Japan)
• Dr Tal Hörer (MD, PhD) – Associate Professor of Surgery, General and Vascular Surgeon, Örebro University Hospital (Sweden)
• Professor David McClure – Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon (Australia)
Participants will engage in cutting-edge lectures, case-based discussions, and hands-on simulation using high-fidelity vascular trauma models developed by EBM. The course culminates in the exciting TOP GUN Anastomosis Competition, recognising excellence in technical skill and teamwork.
Designed for vascular, trauma, military, and general surgical trainees, the programme aims to advance global expertise in the management of vascular injuries and strengthen surgical capacity in both high- and low-resource settings.
