Primary RR: Tricky Topics & Implementation
About
Full Day training aimed at supporting Primary school staff- those who support others to implement the teaching and learning materials (eg. LT/LS, Wellbeing staff, MHWL, AP), and/or teaching staff.This session aims to support participants to:
- understand the need for 'Tricky Topics' teaching and learning in Primary Schools
- develop contextual strategies to support staff in implementing the teaching and learning element of Respectful Relationships
- develop confidence to have open and honest conversations about 'tricky topics'
- consider other elements of the whole school approach and where they intersect with these topics
NB: Tricky Topics refers to having honest communication about the topics of violence, hate speech, consent, pornography and protective behaviours within the Respectful Relationships Teaching and Learning materials.
Important details:
- Morning tea and lunch will be provided
- A reminder that you can use the Mental Health Fund or your SRP funding to pay for CRT coverage
