The Shoreham Community Association and the Shoreham Bushland Friends Group invite you to a talk by Anton Vigenser to learn about and tackle weeds on your property and on the road reserves around Shoreham.Anton will discuss the invasive weeds that exist in Shoreham - blackberries, thistles, cape weed, pittosporums and karamu. He will teach us how and when to deal with them.
Following the talk, there will be a walk along Prout Webb Road so that we can learn to identify the invasive weed species.
Anton Vigenser has extensive expertise and experience in weed management on farms and on ecosystem reconstruction techniques.
This event is free and open to all. It is funded by the Melbourne Water Landcare Grant to the Shoreham Community Association.
As there is an outdoor component to the event, please wear appropriate shoes and sun protection.
