Melbourne String Ensemble Concerto Concert 2025
The Melbourne String Ensemble proudly presents its 2025 Annual Concerto Concert, a celebration of musical artistry and collaboration featuring all five ensembles — Arietta, Prelude, Intermezzo, Chamber, and MSE. This final concert of the year showcases a rich and diverse program, from the lyrical beauty of Barber and the timeless elegance of Beethoven, to the expressive vitality of Vivaldi and the modern intensity of Schoenberg.
Outstanding soloists Emma Li and Curtis Or will delight audiences with Barber’s Violin Concerto (1st Movement), renowned for its soaring lyricism and emotional depth, and Beethoven’s radiant Violin Concerto Rondo, full of spirited energy and classical elegance.
Our younger ensembles, Prelude and Arietta, will charm with joyful and imaginative works by Keeler, Chin, and O’Hara LaBrie, showcasing their developing artistry and vibrant ensemble spirit.
Join us for an inspiring evening that highlights the depth, colour, and unity of Melbourne’s talented young string musicians.
