ASIST for the Veterinary Community - 17 &18 Feb (Longreach)
About
Recognised as the gold standard in suicide intervention training, LivingWorks ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) is a two-day, interactive and in-person workshop in suicide first-aid. You will learn to become ready, willing, and able to intervene with someone who has thoughts of suicide, and help them develop a safety plan, access help and find hope. All members of the veterinary community are welcome.Please note you must attend both full days to receive your certificate.
Please arrive at 8:45am on the first day for registration and a 9:00am start.
Catering is fully provided for both days. Plenty of free parking available.
This workshop is free to attend thanks to funding from the Australian government through the Western Queensland PHN Program. This workshop is also made possible by support from the Central West Suicide Prevention Network and the Longreach Regional Council.
