Join Tweed Landcare and Michelle Chapman from Seed Tree Maps for an engaging and informative Seed Collecting Safari Bus Trip! This exciting event is your chance to actively contribute to the North Coast Regional Seedbank Project, helping us create a vital, genetically diverse native seedbank for the entire NSW North Coast region.About Michelle:
Michelle Chapman is a tree lover and seed collector for Firewheel Rainforest Nursery based in NNSW, and the founder of SEEDTREE MAPS, a tree identification and mapping service that helps people to connect with nature, collect seeds, and grow their own trees. She co-authored Australian Rainforest Seeds: A guide to collecting, processing and propagation (CSIRO Publishing, 2020) to support species diversity in rainforest nurseries, ecological restoration projects and backyards. Michelle also facilitates seed collecting and processing workshops, and mentors Landcare groups, on behalf of the North Coast Regional Seedbank.

Hop aboard the bus as we traverse the beautiful landscapes of the Tweed and Byron Shires. You'll get hands-on experience learning the essential skills required to:
* Identify a range of crucial Sclerophyll species in the field.
* Master the techniques for correct and ethical seed collection for the North Coast Regional Seedbank
* Prepare to send your collected seeds to the regional Seedbank.
Your contributions will directly help increase the supply of genetically diverse native seed, bolstering future conservation and restoration efforts across the region.

* Time: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in) - The meeting point will be confirmed upon registering prior to the event.
* Host: Tweed Landcare Inc.
* Focus: Sclerophyll species identification and collection techniques for the North Coast Regional Seedbank Project.
