Come along and hear Bear’s true story from his human, koala researcher Dr Rom Cristescu, and her conservation dog handler & co-author Nic Gill. There will be games, snacks and some other very special, friendly dogs from the Story Dogs program (who will be very happy to get all the pats). And make sure to keep your eyes peeled for another extra special, very sleepy guest, all the way from the treetops to the book shop – you’ll have to come along to find out who!About the book:
Bear is full of energy, which can lead to trouble – until he finds his perfect role as a koala detection dog! Bear joins a team of other dogs who people thought were “too much”, helping researchers sniff out koalas for conservation. But when deadly bushfires sweep through the forest, Bear and his team must act fast. Will Bear be able to find and help save the wild koalas?
