Ben Parkinson Casting is excited to present our hands-on jam-packed ON SCREEN & AUDITION WORKSHOP to kick off the school holiday break.
Designed for emerging actors, this course will help you build confidence, sharpen your craft and gain a clear understanding of the casting process all while preparing to work in Southeast Queensland’s booming film and television industry.
Over two half days, you’ll experience:
📂 Online Actor Profile Build your own casting profile with Casting.com and ensure your materials and online presence truly reflect your personality and acting strengths. We’ll set up your very own Casting.com profile ( including six months free membership ) plus a fresh headshot to kick it all off. Casting.com is one of the world’s leading actor-profile platforms used by Casting Directors globally.
📹 ‘Introduction to Camera’ Learn how to nail your personal chat-to-camera for your online casting profiles, then film a polished, professional version on the day which will be fully edited and ready for Directors , Producers and Casting Directors to get to know you.
🎬 Script-to-Screen Audition Techniques Break down scenes, sharpen your choices, and deliver grounded, camera-ready performances using real current TV Commercial scripts we’ve cast throughout the year.
📺 Film & TV Audition Work – receive real-world feedback and adjustments on your performances.
🎥 End of Workshop What You’ll Walk Away With One professional Headshot plus a filmed and edited “Self introduction to Camera” a TV Commercial & Group Movie Scene, ready to add straight to your casting profile.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Across two sessions of three hours each, young actors will take part in our ultimate school holiday casting workshop a hands-on, interactive real-life acting experience held in a professional theatre and studio environment. Perfect for beginners and intermediate actors looking to build confidence, learn audition skills, and develop on-camera experience.
Many past students have worked across major film & television productions in various roles. We are excited to bring back this ultimate School Holiday experience.
Dates and Times : course is two half day sessions 9am - 12pm on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 December.
