About
Peer Learning Series: Bringing the Strengthened Aged Care Standards to Life(A Collaborative Workshop Series for Registration Categories 1-5)
This five-part online workshop series is designed to foster a collaborative, peer-led learning environment where aged care providers from across the registration spectrum can come together to explore, reflect on, and prepare for implementing the Strengthened Standards. Each session will offer a focused overview of one Standard, followed by structured discussion and peer-sharing activities that support deeper understanding and practical application.
Together, we will explore:
• What each Standard means in practice
• What effective quality systems could look like in different service contexts
• What organisations already have in place—and what may need to evolve
• How smaller and larger providers alike can approach continuous improvement proportionally
This series is not a traditional training course; it’s a professional guided dialogue and learning space. It is based on the principle that quality and compliance are best achieved when peers support each other to learn, share resources, and develop collective skills. Through this series, providers will deepen their understanding of what’s required under the new Act, while fostering relationships that bolster long-term sector resilience.
You will come away with:
• Develop a foundational understanding of each Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standard.
• Explore how these Standards align with provider obligations under the Aged Care Act 2024.
• Identify practical approaches for integrating quality into daily practice.
• Share examples of quality systems already implemented within the sector.
• Build a professional network of peers for ongoing collaboration and support.
• Reflect on their own organisational readiness and identify areas for further development
