The Office of Medical Research and Innovation (OMRI) invites prospective applicants to a virtual information session for the flagship Spotlight Program.Each year, Spotlight focuses on a major Western Australian health challenge, bringing together the state’s health and medical research sector to drive lasting solutions. Up to $25 million is available per round, supporting cross-sector collaboration, community engagement and translation of real-world solutions into practice.
2025–26 theme: Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD)
This year’s Spotlight theme is Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD), a preventable but devastating condition that disproportionately affects Aboriginal people and communities across WA. The program aims to unite researchers, innovators health professionals, and communities to eliminate RHD in Western Australia.
Who should attend?
This session is intended exclusively for those considering submitting an application to the Spotlight Program. We kindly ask that only those wishing to apply register to attend.
