About
The river ensemble presents the premiere LIVE MUSIC PERFORMANCE of '11 Stories from the River Dyarubbin'.Music inspired by the mighty Hawkesbury / Nepean river system and its ancestors. Written in 11 parts and 11 time, the music can be heard in the '11 Stories from the River Dyarubbin' Audio Walk series and ABC RN's "Yarramundi and he People of Dyarubbin".
With Dharug songs by Jasmine Seymour and Stacy-Jane Etal and featuring Gary Daley : piano / piano accordian, Jess Green : guitar, Dimitri Vouros : Clarinet, Jess Ciampa : Percussion, Mary Rapp : cello / double bass, Barbara Webb violin / mandolin, Oonagh Sherrard composer / cello.
Narrator Rhiannon Wright will introduce the music with a Dharug perspective, and projections of river images and artwork will be screened, including work by photographers Sarah Rhodes, Lyndal Irons, Robbie Dunn and artwork by Leanne Mulgo Watson and students from local schools who participated in project workshops in 2019.
