🌟 What’s Included for Competitors
Coffee

Receive three competition coffees (100g each) ahead of time for practice.

An additional 30g of the same lot supplied on the day for your brew-off round.
Training

Grinder access/training available at least one day before the event – details will be provided to competitors separately

🧰 Rules & Equipment
Gear
All brewing gear is provided: brewers, grinder, water, filter papers, servers, cups.
Competitors may bring:

Their own scales

Their own WDT tool
Note: If an item is provided (e.g., brewers, cups, water), personal substitutes are not permitted.
Brewers
Brewers such as V60, Hario Switch, Kalita, and others will be available.
Final brewer list announced on event day.
If you wish to use a specific brewer that is not listed or provided, please request prior approval.

🏆 Winning Criteria
The competition uses a 1-on-1 elimination format:
12 brewers → 6 semi-finalists → 3 finalists → 1 overall winner
(In the case of a tie, an additional brew-off will be held.)
Your Challenge
Brew a cup that brings out the coffee’s full potential using the provided equipment and variables.
Judges will award the cup that:

Best presents the coffee, and
-
Shows minimal brew defects
Round Requirements

2 minutes prep
-
6 minutes brew
-
5 minutes clean-up
-
Minimum output: 210 ml (Less = Disqualification)
Judging is blind, with results determined by majority vote from the judging panel.
