Alli Sinclair - Writers Workshop (SOLD OUT)
Saturday 14 February 2026 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM (UTC+11)
When we dig beneath the surface of our characters—exploring their fears, dreams, and inner contradictions—we begin to understand the true essence of storytelling. This workshop will give participants practical tools to create characters that are not just names on a page, but complex beings with rich inner lives. Through learning about story design—the architecture that gives these characters room to breathe, grow, and transform—writers will map their characters' journeys, understand their deepest motivations, and craft narrative structures that reveal their most authentic selves and keep readers turning the page.
Workshop Components:
- Character archaeology: Techniques for excavating a character's hidden dimensions
- Psychological profiling tools that reveal character motivations and conflicts
- Story structure frameworks that enhance character development
- Scene design to maximise character revelation and growth
- Practical exercises applying these techniques to participants' works-in-progress
