This program is designed for multidisciplinary participation and is open to medical, nursing & midwifery staff.neoResus is a specialised training program that standardises the way that newborn resuscitation is taught in Victoria and other areas of Australia.
This program is designed for multidisciplinary participation and is open to medical, nursing & midwifery staff.
It includes
• A demonstration of a simulated newborn resuscitation, followed by analysis and debrief
• A practical session on first response including manual ventilation devices, providing IPPV and coordinating ECC with IPPV
• Advanced resuscitation skills stations on endotracheal intubation and umbilical venous catheterization.
Prior to attending the workshop, you are required to complete pre-reading, followed by a pre-program quiz. The pre-reading is found on the NeoResus website at: www.neoresus.org.au
Once your pre reading is complete, please email eileen.davidson@gh.org.au to obtain the link to complete the online pre-program quiz. Please retain a record once you have completed this.
