Lend Me a Soprano

Join us for a night of 1930’s glitz and glamour set in a luxurious hotel suite in Cleveland USA where Mrs Wylie, the General Manager of the Cleveland Opera Company and her dogsbody Jo await the arrival of Elena Firenzi, the world famous opera singer who has been booked for their production of Carmen.
What can go wrong? In Lend Me a Soprano by the American King of Farce Ken Ludwig (of Moon Over Buffalo fame) a lot can and does.
How many Carmens are there, and can the rest of the cast tell them apart? Add to chaos an interfering Bellhop, a lovestruck lawyer, an over amorous Dutch tenor, a jealous Italian husband and a domineering Chairwoman as well as mistaken identities, door slamming, and mad chases as and you have the recipe for a laugh a minute evening in theatre!
