Preston Symphony Orchestra Concert "Preston goes to Paris"

This concert celebrates three works premiered at the Conservatoire in Paris a century apart: Louise Farrenc’s dramatic Overture No 2 composed in 1834; the flute concerto by Jacques Ibert written in 1932 and first performed in 1934; and the Symphony in D minor by Belgium-born César Franck, premiered in 1889.Prudence Davis, principal flute of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, is the guest soloist, and the conductor is Carlos del Cueto.
Online ticket sales cut off is 11.30am on the day of the concert, but tickets can also be purchased at the concert box office from around 2pm if any remain available.
