Forestry Australia
2026 Forest Valuation Summit
DATES: Monday 30 & Tuesday 31 March
LOCATION: Rendezvous Hotel, Melbourne
TIMES: Day One: 9.30 am – 5.30 pm | Day Two: 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
SUMMIT DINNER: Monday 30 March; 5.30 – 9.00pm
Join us for the 2026 Forest Valuation Summit, a 2-day event bringing together forest sector leaders, valuers, investors, and stakeholders to explore the future of forest valuation in Australia. The Summit will feature the launch of the first Joint Australia New Zealand Forest Valuation Standard, an initiative of the New Zealand Institute of Forestry and Forestry Australia, with the support of Forest and Wood Products Australia (FWPA).
The release of the Joint Forest Valuation Standard coincides with the introduction by the Australian government of new sustainability and climate reporting standards: AASB S1 – General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information, and AASB S2 – Climate-Related Disclosures. The introduction of these new standards collectively represents a significant development for valuations of Australian forest assets and entities reporting forest values in Australia, which will be unpacked at the Summit.
The broad program will also include critical themes such as market dynamics and carbon valuation – and will feature a social function, to facilitate networking and collaboration in an informal and relaxed environment.
If you’re a forestry professional, valuer, investor or stakeholder, don’t miss the opportunity to be part of this timely event!
