What is Resilience - Darcy Dunstan (CANCELLED)
About
As our year draws to a close and only a few meeting nights remain, we want to take a moment to thank all of you who have supported our group throughout 2024. With that, we’re excited to invite you to a special event at our hall on Tuesday, 9 December.A little backstory: many of you have heard us speak about Darcy—originally known to us as “the Christmas Tree Guy.” Over the years, our leaders have gotten to know him, and we quickly discovered there’s far more to Darcy than festive trees.
Darcy Dunstan is a former S.A.S. soldier and a powerful speaker who delivered the ANZAC Dawn Service address at Point Danger. Now, he’s bringing his inspiring presentation “What Is Resilience?” to the Albert Park Scout Hall.
We’ve attached a brief bio outlining some of the extraordinary experiences that shape Darcy’s insights on resilience.
Please note that spaces are limited, and attendance will be on a first come, first served basis. We will be offering tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits on the night.
The cost of attendance is simply to bring one pantry item or a gold coin donation to support Father Bob’s Foundation and help us continue contributing to our community.
We hope to welcome as many people as our hall can hold approx. 60. This is set to be a memorable and motivating evening—we hope you’ll join us!
