‘The Golden Age of Radio’
About
It’s Selby in 1938, with the owner of the aging radio station Royal Acoustic Powerhouse Alliance, and new fiancé arriving on set for a live broadcast. The radio station boasts of live to air broadcasts of plays and songs such as 'Mysteries, Death at Dinner', Betty Crockers 'Magazine of the Air', and Abbot and Costello’s 'Christmas Turkey skit'. But the live to air broadcast descends into comedic chaos as the characters, subplots and radio plays blur into real life. Hearts break whist love is rekindled, careers shatter whilst opportunistic windfalls are made, all whilst the studio crumbles into disrepair around them.Location
