Join Cass (Music For The Mind) for this 2 hour hoop drum Winter Solstice Drum Ceremony to gather and celebrate the Winter Solstice and the turning of the seasonal wheel. This will be the 2nd Winter Solstice we have gathered to celebrate. Choosing to bring ceremony into your life, brings you closer to the beauty and mystery of the unseen energy that is all around us and within every living thing. This Winter Solstice is a beautiful heart opening ceremony to connect with one another and celebrate the bigger timings of seasons and of course, our place within it. We are meant to be part of nature and moving with the natural timings and seasons as ancient cultures did. The evening begins with a short drum visualisation where you get to relax. Followed by a drum blessing, we will then play some deeply grounding and powerful rhythms. Working intentionally, we play a rhythm to clear away any obstacles and will then take some time to create some intentions. We will use an oracle deck to offer some inspiration to help guide you (this is optional). We will write down some wishes that will be put into a yule log which will be burned in ceremony on Saturday 20th. Our time together will include some drum chants, if you don't like chanting you simply drum and enjoy the vibrations. Our Drum Ceremony will include some rhythms to set your wild drummer spirit free inviting you to drum and move. Spaces limited. You are invited to bring a journal and your favourite crystal/s for the centre piece. "Through ceremony, we reestablish a healthy and powerful relationship to nature" (Ingerman) and drumming is a deeper expression of our inner selves. In this time we live in, ceremony helps us to be connected to our inner wisdom, guidance, each other and the beauty of feeling alive. And so, the wheel turns as we sit in ceremony for the Winter Solstice.

Cass is a musician who has special interest in the healing qualities of sound, drumming and world rhythms. She holds a BMus and is a Drum Circle Facilitator, Level 2 Reiki Practitioner and has studied the core principals of Shamanic drumming with Beata Alfoldi.
