Conservation Conversation-WWF Koala's Forever Program
About
Following the success of our inaugural Conservation Conversation, we invite you to WWF Melbourne Action Group's next conservation conversation with Tanya Pritchard, leader of the WWF-Australia's Koalas Forever program. Many people are not aware that koalas are critically endangered in certain parts of Australia. This initiative aims to double koala numbers along Australia’s East Coast by 2050 through one of the country’s most ambitious habitat restoration projects.
In a fascinating presentation, you will hear about the Koala Friendly Carbon Initiative (KFCI), a world-first collaboration that links carbon farming with koala conservation. Tanya will bring this and other concepts to life with stories from the field and insights into how science and finance are working together to secure a future for koalas.
Join us for drinks and canapes and be inspired by this stunning presentation.
