Learn about WWF-Australia’s Koalas Forever program - an initiative aiming to double koala numbers along Australia’s East Coast by 2050. Many people are not aware that koalas are endangered in certain parts of Australia.

In a fascinating presentation you will hear about the Koala Friendly Carbon Initiative (KFCI), a world-first collaboration, that links koala conservation with high integrity carbon farming. Tanya will bring this and other concepts to life with stories from the field and insights into how science and finance are working together to secure a future for koalas.

Tanya Pritchard is a leading conservation scientist with more than 30 years’ experience creating nature-based solutions to tackle environmental challenges. She currently heads WWF-Australia’s Koalas Forever programme, which is driving one of the country’s most ambitious habitat restoration projects. Tanya’s expertise spans threatened species recovery, landscape restoration, and conservation finance.
