Permanent Galleries Guided Tour
Explore 4,000 years of Jewish history and culture with a guided tour of the Museum’s permanent galleries: the Timeline of Jewish History, Calling Australia Home, The Jewish Year, and Belief & Ritual. Led by an expert guide, experience a rich journey through the traditions, challenges, and achievements that have shaped Jewish life across millennia and around the world. Encounter extraordinary items including ancient artefacts, ritual objects, personal belongings, and contemporary artworks that each carry stories waiting to be uncovered. From the roots of the Jewish people to the vibrant diversity of Jewish life in Australia today, the tour weaves together global narratives and local histories, perfect for first-time visitors and returning guests alike.
The Permanent Galleries Guided Tour is one of four rotating weekly programs that occur every Friday morning. Explore Shabbat, the Jewish day of rest, with Museum Director & CEO Sidra Moshinsky, experience a behind-the-scenes look into the Museum with our curators or delight in children’s storytime with PJ Library.
Generously supported by RJ Dindas Charitable Fund.
