The Salvation Army's Carols in the Domain - Giving Table

Join us for a fun and creative volunteer experience at The Salvation Army's Carols in the Domain!Promoting small acts of kindness and generosity at Christmas, the Salvos Giving Table offers kids and families the opportunity to create their own Christmas Plate which will in turn provide a Christmas meal for someone in need.
This hands-on activity invites kids to design their very own plate; either on a paper template for $10, or have their design pressed onto a real keepsake plate for $30.
With the support of your Salvation Army team leader, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including welcoming and registering families, accepting payments, supporting the plate press or food truck staff, or helping at the art tables. Displayed on the tables will also be children’s conversation starter cards. We ask that our volunteers engage with the children to inspire them to learn a little more about the Salvos in a fun and joyful way.
Please note: volunteers must be 18+, existing employees or volunteers of The Salvation Army (registered in Workday), and have a valid NSW Working With Children's Check. It is the responsibility of our volunteers to ensure that the children remain within the activation area and engage in a safe manner at all times.
Once registered, volunteers will be assigned to the role in Workday. If further action is required (e.g. WWCC verification), we will be in touch! A full volunteer brief will also be shared closer to the event.
