About
Geoff Parkes and Susi Fox will be kicking off our 2026 Books in Bars season! Join us at the Waurn Ponds Hotel for a night chatting about crime, mysteries and all things that go bump in the night.
Geoff's second book is The First Law of the Bush. Set in the 1990s in New Zealand’s King Country, comes a scintillating new rural noir. In small towns, nothing is quite what it seems. And for one Nashville resident the wrong question will come at a deadly price . . .
Susi's next book is The Other Child. It is a compelling psychological suspense novel about creeping mistrust and fear of betrayal. Who do you trust when you can’t trust the one you love? Fear, grief and guilt make for a potent mix. And all it takes is one neighbour’s offhand comment to spark Lauren’s worst fears - and deep-seated suspicions . . .
