About
‘Basic Assessment & Support in Intensive Care’ is a 2 day course offered by the Intensive Care Unit at the John Hunter Hospital in NewcastleThis course is now recommended as a prerequisite for Intensive Care trainees by the College of Intensive Care Medicine
The purpose of this course is to enable the participant to implement the principles of ongoing management of critically ill children in the post resuscitation and stabilisation phase.
This course is designed for current critical care medical officers and nurses.
Target audience:
• Junior Intensive Care Doctors with more than 6 months in ICU
• Paediatrics Doctors with more than 6 months in Paediatrics
• Emergency Department Doctors with more than 6 months in ED
• Anaesthetic Registrars with more than 6 months in Anaesthetic Department
• Senior Registered Nurses with more than 6 months in PICU.
