Special Guest Lunch Speaker - Helen Walker OAM (Price 1980)

We are delighted to be welcoming Helen Walker OAM (Price 1980) as the special guest speaker at lunch. 

Helen has spent more than four decades supporting women through her work with Prison Network, walking alongside women in and beyond prison with compassion, kindness and an unwavering belief in their potential. Her service was recognised in the 2024 Australia Day Honours. 

Beginning as a nineteen year old volunteer at Pentridge Prison, Helen has since run Bible study groups, facilitated family visits, built enduring relationships and helped women transition back into the community. Guided by Rev Dr H Wood’s oft-shared motto that “from those to whom much is given, much will be required,” she continues to advocate for connection and support for women rebuilding their lives. 

She has also served for 26 years in the Women’s Player Changeroom at the Australian Open, offering steady, behind the scenes support. Across all her roles, Helen embodies the power of love and kindness.
