2026 Raising Kids Who Worry Well - Parent Evening
About
Raising Kids Who Worry Well - a parent evening for calm, courage and connection.Every child worries — the aim isn’t to switch it off, but to help them worry well rather than worry wild. In this upbeat, practical parent session you’ll learn a shared language that supports what students are learning at school. We’ll walk through the W.O.R.R.Y. WELL Framework — Welcome the Worry, Open the Conversation, Reflect and Recognise, Regulate Together, Yes to Action — with everyday scripts you can use tonight.
Why it matters: children who learn to worry well get better at sitting with discomfort, naming feelings, choosing helpful actions, and asking for support. That shows up as steadier nerves before tests and performances, clearer problem-solving with friends, and a stronger sense of “I can handle this”.
Why parents love it: you gain a simple playbook for tricky moments, earlier and more open chats with your child, fewer blow-ups, and confidence about when to handle things at home — and when to escalate for extra help. You’ll leave with do-it-today tools, a fridge-friendly summary, and renewed hope that small steps build brave.
