Summer Music Canberra: a theme of love, on Valentine's Day (CANCELLED)
About
Summer Music offers Canberra music-lovers a concert with a theme of love, on Valentine's Day. You'll enjoy popular and familiar music in Classical and contrasting styles: great composers J S Bach, Beethoven (borrowing from Mozart's Magic Flute) and Brahms; Romances by Amy Beach and the Russian Shostakovich; amorous 'party pieces' by Elgar, Faure and Martini plus themes from stage and screen - maybe Bacharach, Bernstein, the Beatles, some movie magic Morricone? Share with best friends this hour-plus no-interval concert, relaxedly and conversationally presented in the intimate airconditioned comfort of The Ivory Room in Wanniassa* by violist Robert Harris and pianist Dr Robert Manley.
