Charity Preview - Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike
Written by Christopher Durang
Directed by Cheryl Butler
Proudly hosted by Curves Sutherland
Chekhov is alive and well where adult siblings Vanya and Sonia reside in their old family home, mourning their lost dreams and missed opportunities. When their often-wrong, fortune-telling maid warns of impending dangers, and their movie star sister, Masha, arrives unexpectedly with young, sexy, toy boy, Spike, the family is launched into a rollicking weekend of one-upmanship, exposed nerves, and a lot of broken mugs. With wit and absurdity, Christopher Durang blends Checkhov's famous world-weariness with the modern-day toils and troubles of celebrity, social networking and age.
Funds raised will go to support Jacaranda Cottage- a refuge for young women aged between 16 and 24 who have become homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. We exist to serve and support girls who have experienced family breakdown, domestic violence, poverty, abuse, or neglect. Our goal is to help young women through their hardship by providing a safe and supportive home that helps them move towards identity and values, and reach their goals.

Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
