About
🦅 Kanyana Keepers: Birds | A Half-Day Wildlife Experience for Kids aged 7–10.Get ready for a fun, hands-on morning with some of Perth’s most fascinating feathered friends! In this 3.5-hour experience (8:30am–12pm), kids will:
🐦 Meet Our Bird Ambassadors, which may include:
- Tawny Frogmouths
- Cockatoos
- Bush Stone-Curlews
- Owls
- Raptors
…and more!
They’ll explore different bird behaviours, discover incredible adaptations, and learn how these unique species survive in the wild.
🪶 Keeper Fun & Creative Activities!
- Learn how we care for birds at Kanyana
- Discover amazing bird biofacts like feathers, nests, eggs and more
- Create bird-inspired crafts to take home
- And create some fun enrichment for our birds to enjoy!
🧢 What to Bring:
- Morning tea
- Lunch
- Water bottle
- Enclosed shoes (required for safety)
Safety & Supervision:
The program is fully supervised by trained Kanyana staff and Program Leaders, each holding a Working With Children Check and First Aid certification. This is a drop-off program — parents do not need to stay onsite.
Please arrive 15 minutes early for sign-in so the adventure can begin on time!
