It's that time of the year when preparations begin to celebrate the Indian Traditional New Year (ITNY).Across different regions of India, numerous days throughout the year are celebrated as Indian New Year's Day, based on whether the lunar or solar calendar is followed. The widely observed lunar calendar marks Chaitra (March-April) as the first month of the year, with the new year celebrated on the first day of this month.
The multicultural ITNY event will be hosted at Roma Street Parklands Amphitheatre on Saturday, 14 March 2026, from 4:00 PM to 08:00 PM.
