The presentation will provide an engaging update on psychedelic-assisted therapies. You’ll learn how these innovative treatments work, what’s required to deliver them safely and effectively, and how they can help people not responding to current therapies.
The presentation will also cover the latest developments in Australia, including medicine supply, clinical rollouts, Authorised Prescriber support, and training opportunities.
Tania de Jong AM is the co-Founder and Executive Director of Mind Medicine Australia. Tania has garnered an international reputation as an award-winning social entrepreneur, inspirational speaker and storyteller, philanthropist and spiritual journey woman. She is a passionate leader for social change. Tania was named in the 100 Women of Influence, the 100 Most Influential Australian Entrepreneurs and named as one of the 100 most influential people in psychedelics globally.
Reece Flowers is a psychologist with a passion for guiding people through meaningful change. Reece has worked across diverse settings, including facilitating Dialectical Behaviour Therapy groups and delivering individual therapy. He now performs clinical research in psychedelic-assisted therapy. With a predisposition for warmth and empathy, Reece helps clients navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. He integrates evidence-based approaches with a strong interest in the emerging potential of psychedelic-assisted therapies, combining scientific knowledge with a deep respect for the nuances of everyone’s unique human experience.
Following the presentation, if time permits, the Melbourne Chapter co-convenors will facilitate a debrief and reflective dialogue on the topic.
