Dear Parents and Carers,We are writing to update you on the plans for Year 6 Graduation this year.
We would like to thank you for your input and for the work of the Year Level Representatives, together with the school, for bringing the graduation together.
It is shaping up to be a fantastic celebration of all that our students have achieved and to give them a wonderful send off as we say goodbye to them.
The arrangements are as follows:
Graduation Mass:
Date: Monday 15th October
Graduation Mass: 5:30pm - 6:15pm, for Year 6’s and their families, at the Ss. Peter and Paul Church. Students can sit with their parents. No seats will be reserved on the night.
Dress Code: Students will not be required to wear a school uniform. ( nicely dressed no stilettos please)
Parents: Come as you wish (no stilettos please)
Graduation Dinner:
Date: Monday 15th December
Time: 6.30pm - 8:30pm
Who: Year 6 students and their parents/carers only (no siblings or extended family)
Location: Galilee Basketball Stadium
Cost: $40.00 each attendee (same price for students and adults)
Student Seating: Students will all sit together and will have allocated seating that will be organised with the students at school.
Parent Seating: Parents will be able to choose their own tables on the night, away from the students.
Food: Spit Roast Catering will cater the evening. Please indicate dietary requirements for all attendees - students, parents/carers when booking tickets.
The school will pay for the dessert bar for all guests.
Drinks: Soft drinks and water will be included in the package and there will be one champagne on arrival for parents and carers.
Graduation Fun: Year 6 students and their parents/carers will have the opportunity to have fun in the photobooth and reminisce about the children’s time at Galilee. Our School Captains, Grade Six Teachers and Mrs Burns will speak, and we will award the annual Bob Maguire Award.
Fundraising: Money raised from the Zooper Dooper sales will contribute to the photobooth and decorations on the night.
Supervision: Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children on the night.
