FOUNDATIONS OPENING NIGHT EVENT  |  FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 18, 6PM 

Foundations is an exciting new exhibition celebrating the diverse practices, techniques and talents emerging from the Gosford Regional Gallery Educational Studios in 2026.
Students from each of the Gallery’s art classes have been invited to exhibit a work, offering a glimpse into the breadth of creative exploration taking place across the studios. From emerging skills to developing artistic voices, Foundations brings together a vibrant cross-section of the ideas, experimentation and dedication that underpin the Gallery’s education programs.Together, these works reveal the foundations being laid by a new generation of artists and celebrate the creativity simmering within the studios.

Gosford Art Prize 2026 (opening event)

Opens Friday 25 September 2026 at 6pm

The Gosford Art Prize is an annual award that attracts entries from across Australia. The finalist exhibition and opening night is the biggest event held at the gallery each year.  The Prize is open to all Australian artists working in any medium and attracts submissions that show a breadth of artistic excellence and display a diverse array of contemporary techniques and conceptual concerns.

The exhibition runs from 26 September until 22 November 2026

Scale | Donna Marcus (opening event)

A survey of thirty years of practice, the exhibition traces connections between the organic, industrial, and domestic, across histories both remembered and imagined, from the miniature to the monumental. Donna Marcus’ practice repurposes sourced plastic and aluminium kitchenware such as teapots, lids, jelly moulds and steamers. Their original uses are recalled and extended by the process of assemblage, as they are combined into the repetitive forms of modernist grids and spheres. 

The exhibition runs from 4 December 2026 until 31 January 2027
