Upper Primary Teachers ... Join Liana McCurry and Leah Draper for Connecting the Dots - a practical workshop series designed to strengthen teacher confidence in teaching essential mathematical concepts and understanding how they connect across the primary years.This day will focus on:
- Using the Instructional Hierarchy to sequence and teach key mathematical concepts
- Applying the Concrete-Representational-Abstract approach with practical hands-on activities
- Identifying where each concept fits within the South Australian Curriculum AC9
- Seeing how mathematical ideas connect to form a coherent learning progression that supports student success
- Topics Covered: Place Value - Decimals, Multiplication and Division, Fractions, Perimeter and Area
