2026 Autumn Workshops
About
Two FUN ukulele workshops with Adelaide-based ukulele teacher, Uke Warriors’ Dr Chris Waite.In the first workshop we will learn the popular surf song, Wipeout! Suitable for anyone who can play A, D and E7 chords or wants to learn the melody for this surf classic. You choose how deep you dive as we explore moveable 7ths and major chords, and the 12-Bar Blues. We'll also learn how to take a solo (the easy way) in the key of A!
In the second workshop we will learn short (mostly 1 page) pieces by JS Bach, GF Handel and Henry Purcell. Each piece includes a melody, harmony, chord and baritone part, so you get to choose a part to suit your own playing level. Chords include: Am, A7, Bb, C, C7, D, Dm, E7, F, G, G7, and Gm.
Music (notation, chords and tab) for both workshops will be available to download four-weeks before the workshops.
Both workshops are suitable for all players, from confident beginners to advanced players.
