NSPIRE x The Australian Ballet: The Residency
This initiative for ACT public schools will bring a week-long celebration of dance and education to Canberra in Term 2, 2026.

In this new partnership, students across the ACT will have the extraordinary opportunity to learn directly from Australia’s leading performing arts institution, The Australian Ballet.

The residency will include:
• Primary and Secondary creative dance workshops
• Inclusive education workshops
• Gifted and talented workshops
• Primary Focussed Teacher Professional Learning

The aim of the NSPIRE residency is to all our students to explore creativity, ignite passion, nurture talent, and build a new benchmark for arts education in the ACT.
No previous dance experience is needed for students to participate in this opportunity – this partnership is purposefully designed to be inclusive, differentiated, and designed for everyone, from first-time movers to experienced dancers. This immersive experience will expose students to professional practice, creative workshops, high-level training, and industry insights, helping to expand our school-based learning opportunities across ACT and national arts pathways
