Viridian Mint presents BEHIND THE THEMES! – Canberra 2026! – Burlesque Competition.Behind The Themes is back for 2026 and it’s going to be a night in the Canberra burlesque calendar you are not going to want to miss.
This unique competition debuted in 2025 and what an amazing night we all had!
Several months prior to the show night, ten competitors are chosen and all of them are randomly allocated a “theme” that they are required to create an act around…. ten competitors, ten different themes…. only ONE winner!
This competition challenges the performers to maybe have to step outside of their comfort zone and create an amazing act starting from scratch, based on a theme they didn’t choose themselves!!... and it can be harder than it sounds!
Join us on May 2nd at The Canberra Irish Club, where this all local line up of performers will strut, shimmie, strip, bump, grind and tease their way across the stage, presenting their uniquely themed acts as a panel of judges make the decision on who will be Canberra’s 2026 Behind The Themes winner!
Viridian Mint will be there as MC on the night to guide the show and keep the entertainment flowing from beginning to end with her fast-paced wit and cheeky, ridiculous behavior.
This show is strictly 18+ and contains a high level of adult themes and partial nudity.
Doors open to event room at 6:30pm for a 7:30pm show start
