Cognitive Behavioural Supervision

Cognitive Behavioural Supervision

About

This workshop aims to guide participants in the key components of effective supervision using the cognitive behavioural framework (CBT). Models of supervision that align with CBT-focused supervision will be presented, together with available evidence on effective CBT supervision. Supervision session structure within the cognitive behavioural model will be outlined, as well as similarities and differences between CBT-focused supervision and CBT-focused therapy.

This practical master class will provide opportunities to practise and discuss active cognitive behavioural supervision methods, such as setting an agenda for supervision sessions, role play and modelling in supervision, effective use of Socratic questioning, and generating feedback from supervisees.
Evidence-based evaluation methods for both supervisee and supervisor competence will also be discussed.

This workshop is for AHPRA board-approved supervisors who have had at least two years supervision and CBT practice experience

Cancellations and refunds:

A minimum number of registrations is required for this master class to run. You will be notified 2 weeks in advance if this number is not reached and offered the opportunity to register for an alternative master class or receive a refund.

Full refunds will be provided for cancellations made with more than 72 hours' notice. Participants who wish to cancel their enrolment in the workshop less than 72 hours before the workshop date can defer to the next master class program.

Cancellations are to be sent via email to psychprojects@swin.edu.au . Refunds will be processed within 15 working days from the receipt of written notification of cancellation. Swinburne Psychology Clinic reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or re-schedule a master class if circumstances necessitate it, and a full refund will be issued to participants in these circumstances.
